Dee’s Best (NO KIDDING) Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Preheat Oven to 375 degrees
2 sticks unsalted butter, room temp
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs at room temp
1.5 tsps. vanilla extract
2 cups a.p. flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup good quality cocoa
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
2 cups mini semi sweet chocolate chips
Beat together the butter and sugars until creamy
Add eggs and vanilla and mix well
Whisk dry ingredients. Add them to the butter/sugar mix.
Mix just until the flour disappears.
Drop the cookies onto your sheet (12 w/space for spreading)
Bake for about 13 min. or longer for crispier cookies.
Don’t forget to let them cool on the rack, if you can wait that long!
